The History of AIDS

Based on our discussion in class, what do you think we can learn from the history of AIDS? What do you think the quote, "Knowing where you have been helps you choose the right path to where you want to go," means?

  3. I think that the qoute "Knowing where you have been helps you choose the right path to where you want to go" means to learn from mistakes and don't let your mistakes mislead you and discourage you . Also that your mistakes are the past and think about the future without thinking about the past . - Natacha

  4. i think that the qoute "Knowing where you have been helps you choose the right path to where you want to go" meanse that always take the right bath and dont do bad things cause you never know what could happen to you and happen to your own personal life, so never do something you dont want to do cause you never know what could happen ; also that you could do thoughs bad things and you learn from them so yu wont do them again ; so all these qoute that we have in our face are advice to life and help to what not to do in life

  8. We can learn alot from the history of AIDS. For one thing, AIDS wasn't really popular when it first began. In fact, alot of people didn't actually know where it exactly came from. Regan's administration also took it as a joke. However, Regan soon finally annnounced the disease to the public. A little while after that, Regan announced thaty HIV/AIDS as a national crisis. Many people believed that if Regan spoke about AIDS sooner, more could have been done about it. I do believe them.

As for the statement: Knowing where you have been helps you choose the right path to where you want to go, I believe it means that knowing history helps you know what to expect in the world.

  9. Based on what we have learned in class i think we can do a lot. We know how we can try to prevent our selfs from geting the virus. The quote "knowing where you have been helps you choose the right path to where you want to go'means that knows the places where you have been in things that people have done in the past you learn from those mistakes that people have made and you learn to do the right thing. 10. "Knowing where you have been helps you choose the right path to where you want to go." What this means is that lets say you made a bad decision in your life, that will help you later on to choose a better one.
